Raat Ke Afsane : Night Walk inside Delhi Monuments
Enroute Indian History started with night walks in 2019. The walks are conducted in Red Fort,Qutub Minar, Raisina Hill, and Safdarjung Tomb. The entire purpose of conducting Saturday Night Walks was to create a more healthier alternative to spending a weekend rather than booking a movie, or eating at a restaurant. More importantly, it also created a safe space for many single women and individuals who wanted to experience city and its place at night in a safer group.
In summer the walks start at 6:30 pm and in winter the walks start at 6:00 pm. The walks end at 8:00 pm. The entire guided walk by the history and heritage professional is an enriching experience full of narrative, stories, facts, and art history details. The walk takes you inside several buildings inside the complex and brings out the finer details of architecture that seems dulled in broad daylight.
The monuments take another life when viewed at night. The details become sharper, the dazzling lights make them almost living, breathing entities and not dead relics from the past. Take this walk in the summer evening breeze or on a cold winter night to actually experience the city of Delhi.
